Well – the Easter Break is over, as well as that Royal Wedding thingy. I’m not used to working 5 day weeks any more, so this is a bit of a struggle to be honest.

If you’re not in the UK you probably managed to miss most of the wedding – lucky you. If you are in the UK – I feel your pain.

However, enough of that – let’s focus on the music.

We have a brand new show that rounds up all of the best rock releases of the last month, and takes a look at the big news stories. Produced in conjunction with Planet Rock radio, this is a great way to check out all the new music and stories you could possibly want. Check out Rock Bullet here.

First up this month we have a band who probably couldn’t be more British – the mighty Primal Scream, followed by a couple that couldn’t be more American – Heaven & Hell and Twisted Sister.

Also, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and our magnificent YouTube Channel, which probably has more music you love than anywhere else on the internet.*

*Don’t quote me on that
Primal Scream – Screamadelica Live

Screamadelica is 20!! To celebrate this fact, Primal Scream performed the album in it’s entirety for the first time ever. They also performed a « greatest hits » rock set; and the whole thing was captured for prosterity by Eagle Rock. They put on an absolutely spectacular show, and reminded everyone why Screamadelica is considered to be a true genre defining album, and one of the greatest of all time. With unbelievable tracks like Loaded and Movin’ On Up, this truly is a live show not to be missed.

This is available on DVD from 30th May. There is also a simultaneous Blu-Ray release, which comprises of this Screamadelica Live and the Classic Album below

Primal Scream – Screamadelica Classic Album

To accompany the blistering live show above, we have also made this Classic Albums programme telling the story behind the making of this legendary album. There are contributions from all the band members, main producer Andrew Weatherall, Creation Records founder Alan McGee, and many others involved with or inspired by this masterpiece.

This DVD contains additional interview footage not included in the broadcast version and the set is completed by a CD of the complete « Screamadelica » album performed live for the first time at Olympia in London in November 2010.

A fantastic programme that offers real insight into the making of this incredible album.

Primal Scream Blu-Ray

This is a pretty fantastic package to be honest. Not only do you get the full show in beautiful Hi-Def, you get the Classic Album in Hi-Def AND you get the audio CD! This all looks and sounds incredible, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you have a Blu-Ray player then get on this ASAP. If you don’t then why not treat yourself – they’re pretty cheap down Richer Sounds now.

Heaven & Hell – Radio City Music Hall

Fully authorised and approved by the band, “Radio City Music Hall – Live!” was filmed at the iconic New York venue on 30 March 2007. It was the first US concert by the Dio / Iommi/ Butler/ Appice line-up for over 15 years and formed part of Heaven & Hell’s 2007 world tour. It was the success of this tour that led to the continued existence of Heaven & Hell , a new studio album and further live dates, and ongoing plans that were only curtailed by the sad death of Ronnie James Dio.

Filmed in high definition but originally released on DVD only, the show is now being re-released on both DVD and for the first time on Blu-ray by Eagle Vision, with additional previously unseen Ronnie James Dio bonus material. The bonus features include: Road Movie / Hail The Gods Of Metal / Meet The Mob / Radio City / The Wisdom Of Dio. Not to be missed!
