News de Eddie Van Halen 2012
News from the Van Halen camp has been very quiet lately, but fans are expecting that to change in a BIG way come the new year.
Word is VH have signed with Interscope Records, a new album with David Lee Roth is on the way, and rumors about a pending world tour announcement continue to swirl.
VH entered the studio in January with producer John Shanks to record one of the most-anticipated rock records in recent memory.
The project has the weight and distinction of being the first new VH music in 7 years; the first new album in 13 years, the first new music with Roth in 15 years, first new album with Roth in 27 years, and the first recordings with bassist Wolfgang VH.
Anticipation for the new album is so high that Van Halen took top honors in the recent 2011 hennemusic Rock News Awards, picking up Rock News Artist Of The Year and Rock News Story Of The Year. The honors are determined by music fans: numbers are based on the combined total page views of the top 50 hennemusic rock news stories of the past twelve months.
With so much potential activity coming in 2012, guitarist Eddie Van Halen took a moment this weekend to post a holiday message to fans.
“Wishing family, friends and especially the fans, a Happy Hanukah, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!” wrote Eddie.
