Great XRT plug about Delmark’s big 60th anniversary blues show tomorrow night at SPACE!
« Delmark Records, Chicago’s blues record label, is celebrating their 60th Anniversary with a bash this Friday night showcasing many of their local, Chicago blues stars at S.P.A.C.E. in Evanston. Delmark Records has provided a home for so many blues greats over the past six decades I can’t begin to imagine where we would be without them. And this is going to be another one of those nights that will make Chicagoans the envy of blues fans around the world. A few hours in an intimate club setting with more talent than many blues festivals can boast. A couple of the top players, Lurrie Bell and Toronzo Cannon, have just released stellar new albums on the Delmark label. Also appearing will be Dave Specter, Linsey Alexander, Mike Wheeler, Byther Smith, Jimmy Burns, Taildragger, Sharon Lewis and others.
Thank you Bob Koester and Delmark Records for all you have done and all that you continue to do for the blues in Chicago! »b
