All About Jazz Expands Publishing Platform
to Include Quarterly Magazine

We’ve greatly enhanced the All About Jazz experience with a new interactive format that is fully optimized for readers…”

Philadelphia, PA – All About Jazz, the web’s leading destination for jazz news, has teamed with Dutch based MFM Media to produce a quarterly jazz magazine through the Issuu.com publishing platform.

Each issue reflects choice content previously published at All About Jazz with strong consideration given to connected material. For instance, the first issue focuses on the legendary Wayne Shorter. In addition to the interview with Shorter, All About Jazz talks to trumpeter Wallace Roney about his desire to perform and record Shorter’s “Universe” compositions, and to fellow trumpeter David Weiss about his new recording project, Endangered Species: The Music of Wayne Shorter.

Jam-packed with 100 pages covering a wide range of styles, subjects and from around the world—each issue includes interviews, profiles, columns, album reviews, web site news, and free MP3s. The first issue includes complimentary tracks from recent releases by selected artists including Ben Allison, Marty Ehrlich, Tim Warfield, George Colligan and many more.

“We’ve greatly enhanced the All About Jazz experience with a new interactive format that is fully optimized for readers like the iPad and the Android tablet. The magazine is available across all devices, can be shared socially, and opened from anywhere without the need to download an app. Subscribing to future issues is as easy as clicking a button,” states Michael Ricci, All About Jazz’s Founder and Publisher.

“Issuu not only makes this possible, but it also allows us to tap into their current readership of 72 million.”

MFM Media general manager, Andrew Read, believes the partnership, that also includes a strategic alliance with European jazz website, JazzInEurope.com, will increase All About Jazz’s current European reach and provide a broader advertising platform for musicians, venues, festivals and other industry partners. The All About About Jazz Magazine is the first in a number of initiatives between All About Jazz and MFM Media. The companies will release regular updates on their websites in the coming months.
