Global Golf Adventure-Chicago is produced and hosted by Golf Channel on NBC analyst Mark Rolfing. Rolfing showcases the sights, sounds and people of Chicago, including conversations with two very recognizable Chicago personalities: Former World Number One golfer Luke Donald and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel discussing what he describes as “the best job I’ve ever had in public life”, a brief look at the history of Chicago golf, and the music of one of the City’s finest Blues musicians Wayne Baker Brooks. Wayne Baker Brooks recorded a live performance of “Sweet Home Chicago” for this episode at one of Chicago’s most famous blues clubs: The Kingston Mines. Enjoy watching Wayne’s rendition of “Sweet Home Chicago” and listen to his music being featured throughout the episode! The show fittingly opens with Wayne’s song “Something’s Going Down (in the city)”, tribute to his hometown and featuring fellow Chicagoans TWISTA and Sugar Blue. Wayne Baker Brooks has been steeped in music all his life. Although he was born as the youngest son to a blues legend, he is self-taught and has earned his way by blazing his own musical trail. In 1998, Wayne spearheaded and co-authored the book Blues For Dummies with his father Lonnie Brooks; rocker Cub Koda, and Oscar nominee Dan Aykroyd. In 2003 Brooks started his own label, Blues Island Records. His first release was the four-star rated Mystery. His latest release is “Tricks Up My Sleeves EP” Global Golf Adventure premiered in 2010 on NBC Sports creating a first of its kind golf and travel show for U.S. national network audiences.
