It is with great pleasure that we announce the additions of rock legend LITA FORD, as well as former THE RUNAWAYS lead singer and actress, CHERIE CURRIE, to the guest roster for DAYS OF THE DEAD: ATLANTA, happening February 7th-9th at the Sheraton Atlanta.
This very special reunion marks the first time both women have appeared together in public in over 30 YEARS!
Fronting The Runaways in the mid to late 70s, Currie appeared on the band’s first three albums – THE RUNAWAYS, QUEENS OF NOISE, and LIVE IN JAPAN. After leaving The Runaways, Cherie went on to have a successful solo career of her own, and also acted in several films including PARASITE (with Demi Moore), WAVELENGTH, and TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE.
Formerly the lead guitarist for The Runaways, Lita Ford has had one of the most celebrated music careers of any female artist in the hard rock genre, working with such iconic names as Ozzy Osbourne and Nikki Sixx. She has had several commercial hit songs, including “Kiss Me Deadly”, “Back To The Cave”, “Close My Eyes Forever”, “Falling In And Out Of Love,” and “Close My Eyes Forever,” which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
