This year will the see the release of my 4th album ‘The Blinding Heights’ on Friday November 15, but for many of you it will be the FIRST new album you’ve been along for the ride. Releasing new albums is as close as this guy can get to having a newborn released.. so I’m totally stoked to have you part of this journey – it’s an emotional and incredible experience to share with you.

The first single “Sway” is now officially confirmed to release on Friday April 24 with additional songs releasing each month leading to an 8-10 track album launch worldwide this November.

In the meantime, I’ve got 10 years of previous albums that I’d like to introduce to you and share stories behind the music about the creation of my initial three independent rock records.

“Dancing With The Dead”, “Dangerously Close” & “Cry Like Hell” are available this week in a special 3 album package deal 70% OFF.

‘Dancing With The Dead’ was my virgin try at creating an album back in 2008.. and thankfully it worked out well enough that I can listen to it 10 years later and feel happy doing so. 8 songs that I took my whole life to write – very proud of this leap into rock n’ roll independence!

‘Dangerously Close’ was where I got the rock up and the volume loud in 2013.. it was my passionate attempt to create a heavier rock sound via the power of crowdfunding. I felt I had the songs and the knowledge to step my game up and nail a more guitar driven album.

‘Cry Like Hell’ is my latest 3rd album of original rock tunes.. I’ve been lucky to have the same core Toronto-area musicians performing on all my albums so far. Fantastic players who really bring their skillz to these 11 tracks released just recently in 2016.

I am still in the midst of a spiritual rock n’ roll experience.. 🎸

I recently posted on Facebook about watching the incredible performance of “Bruce Springsteen On Broadway” on Netflix and the effect it was having on me. His songs 40 years into an incredible music career resonant with me so much now, reminding me why I fell in love with his tunes while searching for my own musical path early in life.

I realize now there’s a strong connection between Bruce’s music and the title track of my 2nd album “Dangerously Close” and how it relates to me, my own music and my adolescence.

My buddy Thom ‘Jimmy’ Strange lived on a house boat called Cora for many years and the final week before he sold her in Bermuda, we filmed some stuff! ️

While celebrating with mugs of ‘Dark & Stormy’s I jammed out a fun Jon & Bruce mash up.. and yes, it was HOT out. Hard to keep the guitar in tune when the summer sun is beaming down like #boom.

12 Years Later.. A Very Special Video Is Born

In April 2005 I began what I viewed as the ‘ultimate house gig ever’ on the sunny mid-Atlantic island nation of Bermuda.
I had only ever done regular house gigs on cruise ships back then, and so the move there from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for me and my wife Genie was a big step up for us!
Finally – a regular music gig performing on land 🙂

12 years later, 3 original rock albums later, so many great friends and incredible nights performing later… and 1 little guy named Logan later, I performed my final show at Hog Penny Pub on Saturday October 28, 2017.

It also happened to be the night I was turning 40 at the stroke of Midnight– a double milestone epic event for me. Really was a night to remember, definitely in my top 3 nights there ever.

I wish I could relate what performing in the same bar on a tropical island 5 nights a week for 12 years feels like – but I really can’t. Not right now – too soon.

I’m still decompressing from our marathon move from Bermuda to Estonia (new homebase) and enjoying the break from performing in the same bar 5 nights a week for 12 years 🙂

So excited about what the future holds for touring, creating new music and meeting more new fans around the world, but also very thankful for the time I was given in Bermuda to work on my craft while earning a living there. Met so many great people, lots of friendships made and it will always be the birthplace of my son Logan – and for having him in our lives I am most grateful of all.
