KK doin’ Bikes n’ Blues at The Gaslamp in Long Beach
KK hangin’ with John Mayall at SCBS Jam
(SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, USA) – With a newly-minted endorsement from one of the world’s premier makers of guitar pickups; featured radio airplay on over 100 U.S. stations; headlining appearances at multiple festivals; and great review for his new CD, one would have to agree the Gods of the Blues are smiling on the fortunes of one K.K. Martin.
European-based Cream T Pickups, who are currently represented by the likes of ZZ Tops’ Billy Gibbons and Matt “Guitar” Murphy, will soon add the talented Martin to their “Signature Solo” roster of endorsers, thereby exposing the talented Delta Blues-style guitarist to a worldwide audience through the powerful distribution vehicle umbrella of ITunes. Airplay-wise, Martin’s track “No One Can Forgive Me” was featured on the popular nationally-syndicated Blues Deluxe radio show airing July 16-23. Blues Deluxe is currently aired to over 100 terrestrial radio stations throughout the U.S. and internationally with a two-million plus listener-ship.
On the heels of Martin’s tour de force performance at the Real Blues Festival of Orange County 2 where he wowed the crowd (“everybody ‘brought it’ to RBF2 but my choice for MVP of the day is K.K. Martin. This man lives to play the Blues,” raved Casey Reagan from American Blues News) – K.K. has been tapped to perform at the upcoming Kern River Rock & Blues Festival in the picturesque town of Kernville, Calif on September 30. Leading up to that, there’s a September 17 gig at one of SoCal’s premier concert venues, the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. This is clearly a man in demand!!

The Naked Truth: What They’re Saying About K.K. Martin And NAKED BLUES VOL. II…
“One of America’s true, blues traditional players….plays as clean as anyone I know…on this latest CD, K.K. runs the gamut of bone-chilling voices. Just listen to “Alligator Wine”. His performance on that song ranks with any blues performance I have heard lately. K.K.’s vocal chops have got to make you smile.” -BLUEPOWER
“With the first cut ‘Rattlesnake Shake’, a cover of the Peter Green tune, Mr. Martin revels the true nature of this song with some slithering slide guitar and gritty ‘c’est la vie’ vocals that reiterate the inevitable outcome of shakin’ that rattlesnake. What the listener will get from this release is the authentic true feel of acoustic blues played by a man whose love of the music coupled his own superior talent and confidence shine through, and in doing so make for one compelling release that will appeal to hard core Blues fans as well as the new members of our congregation.” –BLUES 411
“Razor-sharp hooks and chops…delivers the goods on Naked Blues Volume II.“ –BLUE MONDAY
“Naked Blues Volume II – the latest offering from blues guitarist K.K. Martin is a modest, intimate recording that boasts all of the virtues that are associated with the rustic, acoustic variety of blues music. Martin’s smoky howl and dexterity on the six strings take center stage here. Without the flash of a brass section, the tinkling of a piano or the backing of a rhythm section, Naked Blues Volume II is as naked as they come.“
–Brian Lush, host of ROCKWIRED Radio Show.
“American Veterans Radio is proud to bring the world K.K. Martin as our Spotlight Artist of the Week. If you love great music and having fun listening to it, K.K. Martin offers them both up effortlessly. ”
-AMERICAN VETERANS RADIO
I have complete and total admiration for K.K. Martin and his music. I have also had the privilege and honor to interview K.K. Martin. He is one classy, laid back and very down to earth guy. The same goes for his music. Classy, laid back, down to earth, pure hand-cut blues. His style of Artist simply does not come any better – PERIOD!! His ‘Naked Blues Vol. II’ is an absolute must hear for anyone who appreciates great lyrics and great music!!
