INCUBUS
Incubus has announced that their next few shows will have a different bass player, although many fans of the low end will recognize them. In a post on their Twitter account, the band wrote that Tal Wilkenfeld will be filling in for the mighty Ben Kenney in Costa Rica, Texas, and Louisiana.
“Our Incubus brother and bandmate, Ben Kenney, is currently recovering from a recent medical procedure and will be unable to perform with us on our upcoming run at the end of the month,” they wrote. “In his absence, our good friend, Tal Wilkenfeld, will be filling in for him on bass, and we look forward to performing with her on these shows! We wish Ben a speedy recovery and can’t wait for him to rejoin us onstage soon!”
Wilkenfeld, who has called herself an Incubus super fan, will be with the band on January 28th in Costa Rica for the Picnic Festival, January 31st and February 2nd in Texas, and February 4th in New Orleans. If you’re unfamiliar with her work, her resumé is like a who’s who of rock, blues and jazz: Jeff Beck, Prince, Eric Clapton, Herbie Hancock, and many more.
We’re also wishing a speedy recovery to Ben Kenney!

The first and only concert I attended before I moved to the USA was Incubus when I was 14 & I dreamed that I’d make music with them. I’m trying to imagine telling my 14 year old self that this would happen… and then telling her that these guys are some of the sweetest humans she’d ever meet. Dream big and then celebrate when ur life is even better than u could’ve ever imagined. #pronoia#incubus
