In observance of the International Day of Peace 2013 on September 21 CISV Egypt and Darb 1718 with the support of CKU will host:
PEACE ONE DAY FESTIVAL – CAIRO
A fun filled event to promote peace, love and understanding throughout Egypt and around the world at Darb 1718 starting 12pm.
Music brings people and communities together. It puts us in touch with ourselves and one another. Probably the oldest and most effective form of peace promotion. As a result Peace One Day will feature the finest in music.

→ Artists for Peace and Freedom Exhibition featuring Egyptian and Danish artists: Martin Nore, Simone Aaberg Kaern, Hossam Dirar, Hady Boraey, Marwa Adel and Hany Rashed.
→ Fun educational activities, simulations and games about peace and conflict resolution for all ages
→ Upcoming local comedians.
→ A Bazaar of local small businesses and shops.
→ An NGO fair offering youth opportunities to volunteer for peace, the environment, charity & more through NGOs including Alwan we Awtar, Wataneya Society, etc.
→ Artist talk with the Danish artist: Simone Aaberg Kaern (2 – 3 pm).
→ Film screening: “Smiling in a War Zone” by Simone Aaberg Kaern (3 – 4:30 pm).
